31th Sunday in Ordinary Time
October 31, 2010
"Now a man named Zacchaeus,
who was a chief tax collector and
also a wealthy man,
was seeking to see who Jesus was,....
So, he ran ahead and climbed a
sycamore tree in order to see Jesus
who was about to pass that way." Luke 19
Zacchaeus wasn’t perfect – he was
unfinished, scattered and incomplete.
But God’s Spirit had nudged him
to leave his home that day and become a seeker.
He thought he was just going to see Jesus with his eyes.
But a lot more happened to him because
Jesus saw Zacchaeus’ hunger and
entered his life and the life of his family.
Have you, like Zacchaeus, ever had a longing that
sent you out on a spiritual quest?
How does that quest affect your life now?
