32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 7, 2010
"The children of this age marry and remarry;
but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age
and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
They can no longer die, for they are like angels,
and they are the children of God
because they are the ones who will rise."
Luke
While the next life will certainly be dramatically
different from this one - something from this life will be the same.
We will continue to be, what Jesus calls us in the gospel today,
"Children of God." That's the guarantee he offers us.
Our strong ties with God here on earth will not be broken by death.
God has made a covenant with us and so we will never be separated from God.
How does your belief in the resurrection affect your daily thoughts and actions?
IF you did not believe in the resurrection of the dead how would that affect your daily life?
